Swartz Reunion - Upper Sandusky (Sunday, September 28th)

Well, on Sunday, went to the Swartz reunion in Upper Sandusky.
It went well. I generally am not all that excited about it because we drive two and a half hours, meet people we only see once a year, and so hardly know beyond names or faces, and so generally, I must admit that I kind of dread it. But I think that maybe because I'm getting older, it's becoming easier to mingle with people. I think that very young children and adults have the easiest time making friends, but I'm learning that if you put your mind to it, anybody can do it.:-)
It also marked a milestone for me as I jumped back into the role of photographer! I hadn't snapped a picture in a very long time, so since I had batteries and spare XD card space, I took my camera and got some pictures.
Here are some reunion memories...

...well, I'll put them up when I get the chance...

Well...let's see here...

My name tag... just some fun...:-)

Song of the week

Maybe it should be song of the month.:-)
Anyway, here's another:

Song: It's A Good Day
Artist: FFH
Album: Ready to Fly (2003)

However long our feet have walked on this world
We've all lived long enough to know
That sometimes life will go our way
And other times it won't
But still I've got this joy inside of me
With each new dawn I do believe to

(chorus)
Say hey, it's a good day
Even if things aren't going my way
Jesus is Lord and I am saved
So, say hey, it's a good day

Circumstance and situations change
You know life can turn on a dime
But there's a constant hope and peace
That I have come to find
And it's all because of who God is
And that He is alive and I am His, so

(chorus)

We are all as happy as we make our minds up to be
I have just decided that nothing's gonna take this joy from me

(chorus)

2nd of September Update

Hi everyone!
Well, September is upon us, and school will be starting this week or next week for us.
Yesterday, we participated in a one mile run at the Labor of Love Run hosted by the Chapel in Akron. It benefited Akron Pregnancy Services. We have some pictures of us there, but we have to figure out how to save them out of a strange file type...

I bought Sony Vegas 6 on Ebay, and hopefully I will have it by the end of the week. For those who don't know, Vegas is top end video editing software put out by Sony. Of course now they are up to Vegas 8 or 9, so the one I got is from a few upgrades ago.:-)

Anyway, I must be going. Any new movie updates will be posted as soon as they are available, believe me!;-)

Song of the Week

I decided to post a song each week which I like or has been meaningful to me.
This week's Song of the Week on Waiting on the Ramparts, is Every Day:

Song: Every Day
Artist: Joy Williams
Album: By Surprise (2002)

Sometimes life is like a roller coaster
Flying away
I get caught up just simply surviving
From day to day

But in the midst of all the lists to do
I need some help to change my point of view

Chorus
Every day I'm giving You everything
Every thought, every word, every song I sing
It ain't no matter what life may bring
I'm gonna lay it down (Gonna lay it down)
Every day you make sense of me in the midst of my insanity
Give me hope, give me love, give me strength, make me free
Every day of my life

If I love you with my heart, my soul, my mind
Then my life has found a new direction
It was never mine
'Cause when my heart is truly fixed on you
I find meaning in the things I do

Chorus

Not simply just surviving
There's so much more I'm finding
Than living life so blinded and confused
'Cause where I find my freedom is serving at God's feet and
I'm listening, searching, just waiting, working
Every, every day

Praise Report!

Praise God, Daddy passed his kidney stone!
He said the pain in his side is gone. So it looks like everything is fine!
Thank you, Lord!

Untitled

Well, my dad's pain came back yesterday afternoon. So he is still down.
We watched The Great Escape last night, which I think had the desired effect. It seemed to divert his attention for a while from the pain. So, please keep him in your prayers.

I was at Wal-Mart yesterday with mom and sisters, (picking up photos and getting some frames(Ah, yes, Fair time!:-))) And Hannah was looking at cameras. She has been wanting to get a new camera for a while now, so I guess it was to be expected, since we were there by the cameras.
Anyway, I happened to lay eyes on a Samsung SC MX10 camcorder. I really liked what I saw, but when I read some user reviews, I got such different accounts of the camera as to puzzle me exceedingly! I will have to do some more research I guess. But if I do get a camcorder, I have no doubt that the quality of our movies would go up considerably and that is an exciting thing for me!
